On the 1966-1968 Ford Galaxie, Galaxie 500, Galaxie 500XL & LTD or the 1965-1968 Mercury Montclair, Monterey & Park Lane 2 door hardtop, fastback or convertible there is a small seal that installs in the door jamb where the front edge of the quarter window comes out of the rear quarter panel, it is called the U-jam or lock pillar seal. This is the pair of rubber seals with a metal backing, they will keep the water from running into your car and causing rust. The U-jam lock pillar seals take a lot of abuse from the weather and they will shrink and get hard as they age and before you know it water can get into the quarter panels and rust them out. This pair of U-jam seals is an excellent reproduction of the original and will fit great.
